01 · Brand Strategy
We positioned the site around the artist herself (a Ph.D. art historian and NCAC Director) rather than a generic gallery. The identity uses a minimalist white background to show the beauty of her canvases: harmonious blues, oranges, and reds with aso-oke fabric textures, a clean paintbrush logo, and a scholarly-but-warm, heritage-led voice carried consistently across the site and its metadata.

02 · Design
A deliberately quiet interface so the work is loud: an orientation-aware masonry grid, a full-screen lightbox with keyboard navigation and shareable artwork links, inline “Buy” actions, date-gated exhibition launches, and dynamic social-share images. Built on shadcn/ui and Tailwind with OKLch color for true-to-canvas reproduction.
03 · Development
An all-static, no-backend build that still runs like a CMS. Next.js 15 + React 19 on Vercel, with Google Sheets as the CMS (each exhibition is a tab), Google Drive for images, and Stripe Payment Links for real checkout with no payment backend. SEO is baked in via edge OG images and JSON-LD.
A fast, self-serve platform the artist runs herself. Adding an exhibition takes a sheet tab and one env variable, no developer required.
